Which ISO standard should I choose?
ISO 9001 (quality) is the universal starting point and the one tenders usually require. Choose ISO 27001 if you handle client data (IT/SaaS/BPO), ISO 14001 for environmental commitments, ISO 22000/HACCP for food, ISO 45001 for safety-heavy industries, ISO 13485 for medical devices. We advise based on your industry and customer demands.
How long does ISO certification take?
For a small/medium organisation, typically 2–4 weeks including documentation and audits with focused effort. Larger or multi-site scopes take longer. “Same-day certificates” are non-accredited and risky.
What is the difference between accredited and non-accredited certification?
Accredited certificates carry the mark of an accreditation body (NABCB in India, UKAS, etc. — all IAF members) and are verifiable internationally. Non-accredited certificates are cheap but rejected in tenders and serious vendor checks. We work only with accredited bodies.
How long is the certificate valid?
3 years, subject to passing annual surveillance audits. After 3 years, a recertification audit renews it for the next cycle.
What does the audit involve?
Stage 1 reviews documentation readiness; Stage 2 verifies actual implementation through records, interviews and site review. Minor non-conformities get a correction window — we help you close them.
